Bonjour,

Me voici aujourd'hui de retour avec la présentation d'une nouvelle page, réalisée à partir des papiers de mon kit du mois d'octobre de SCRAPS OF ELEGANCE, "Tiffany's Style kit".

Bien que le visuel de ce kit semble plutôt à prédominance rose, vous pourrez vous apercevoir qu'on peut aussi travailler sur d'autres couleurs. Le visuel montre uniquement les rectos des papiers, alors sachez que sur les versos il n'y a pas que du rose ! Voici pour exemple ma page réalisé avec un fond de page de Kaisercraft :

Although the visual of the kit seems rather predominantly pink, you will see that you can also work on other colors. The visuel shows only the front sides of the paper, then you know now that on the back side there is not only pink ! here for example my layout is made with a Kaisercraft sheet that i use for my background:

J'ai choisi ce papier pour ces motifs floraux, sa couleur, et sa particularité pour le bas de page avec sa bande contrastante. Je n'ai d'ailleurs pas l'habitude de travailler avec des bandes de ce genre !

I chose that paper for its floral patterns, colors, and its particularity contrasting band. I do not also have to used to working with bands like that!

En ce moment, j'ai envie de nouvelles choses, j'ai envie d'essayer de nouvelles techniques pour ressentir de nouvelles émotions et de nouveaux plaisirs quand je scrappe. Il y a un mois par exemple, jamais je n'aurais pensé que j'aurais fait aujourd'hui cette page avec ces dessins au fusain ... En effet, je peux dire ou avouer même que j'ai été largement influencée par tous ces livres et cahiers de coloriage 'anti-stress' en vente dans les magasins ici en France. Quand je les ai découvert pour la première fois, j'ai pensé qu'ils ne savaient vraiment plus quoi inventer pour vendre ... et maintenant des coloriages pour adultes ? Evidemment cela m'a fait sourire. Et puis, la semaine suivante, dans les rayons, encore ces livres ... Et puis la semaine suivante, déclinés en agenda, cartes postales, poster ... bref on ne peut plus passer à côté sans les regarder ...

Et puis, un jour, en mettant mes arrière-pensées de côté, j'ai fini par craquer et j'ai finalement acheter celui-ci :

Actually i want to try new things, I like to try new techniques to feel new emotions and new pleasures when I scrap. There is a month ago, for example, I never thought I would work today on this page with these charcoal drawings ... Indeed, I can say or even admit that I have been greatly influenced by all these books and 'anti-stress' coloring books everywhere for sale in the shops here in France. When I discovered for the first time, I thought they really don't know what to invent to sell ... and now adult coloring books ? Obviously this made me smile. And then the following week on the shelves, yet these books ... And then the next week, available in calendar, postcards, poster ... you can not walk by without seeing them!
And then one day, with my ulterior motives aside, I finally decided to buy this one :

Et bien c'est peut-être le début d'une grande histoire ! Alors pour le coup, j'ai aussi dû investir dans de nouveaux crayons ! J'ai choisi de travailler mes dessins au fusain, car le contraste est encore plus saisissant et le grain du crayon encore plus remarquable :

Well this is maybe the beginning of a great story! So for once, I also had to invest in new pencils! I chose to work my drawings with charcoal, because the contrast is even more striking and the the grain of the pencil even more remarkable .

J'ai donc commencé par travailler sur mon fond de page avec un petit collage de papiers, recouvert légèrement de gesso. j'ai ajouté de la texture avec des morceaux de napperons en papiers et des petits morceaux de dentelles. Une fois tous mes collages effectués, j'ai ajouter de la couleur avec les encres et du gesso. Une fois le travail bien avancé, j'ai commencé à travailler avec mes dessins. J'ai travaillé au centre avec deux fleurs et une branche de feuilles et j'ai ajouté une autre feuille à gauche pour faire un rappel. Comme je le notais précédemment, j'ai été inspirée par un des modèles de motif floral dans le livre, qui me semblait parfait pour ma page. En effet, les motifs du fond de Kaisercraft semble avoir des motifs quasiment identiques.

Pour la suite : quelques couleurs complémentaires avec des encres sur ma page et un groupe d'embellissements réunis à un seul endroit.

Ci-dessous quelques détails :

So I started working on my background with a small collage of papers, lightly covered with gesso. I added texture with pieces of paper doilies and small pieces of lace. Once all my collages made, I add color with ink and gesso. And on a second step, I started working with my drawings. I worked on the center with two flowers and a branch of leaves and I added another piece to the left to make a call. As I noted earlier, I was inspired by the floral patterns in the book, that seemed perfect for my page. Indeed, because the Kaisercraft background seems to have almost identical patterns.
and for the rest: some complementary colors with ink on my page, and a group of embellishment in just one place.
